Terms and Conditions
It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By ordering with me and paying a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. Deposits and Payments
1.1. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required before your order and date can be considered confirmed. This will be deducted from the final balance.
1.2. The Final and remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the arranged collection/delivery date.
1.3. The above payment schedule does not apply to Wedding orders. Please revert to clause 5.4.
1.4. Failure to pay by the due date may result in the order being cancelled.
1.5. If your order is accepted less than two weeks in advance, full payment is required to secure the booking.
2. Delivery charge
2.1. Deliveries must be arranged during the initial enquiry. If you would like to amend your order once confirmed to a delivery, additional charges may be added to your final balance. Please notify me as soon as possible if this is the case.
2.2. All deliveries within a 5 mile radius of Winchcombe are complimentary. Mileage thereafter is charged at 45p per mile. Please inform me of the postal code as soon as possible so that I can provide a quote for additional charges. Please note, this does not apply to Wedding orders, please refer to 5.4.3.
2.3. All tiered cakes are delivery only unless otherwise agreed and charges will be included and detailed in your bespoke quote.
2.4. I reserve the right to increase the charge per mile should fuel costs increase drastically.
3. If YOU cancel or change the order
3.1. Changes to your order, including venue and dates, will only be accepted if time allows. Please therefore get in touch as soon as possible.
3.1.2. All changes to an order must be made in writing and can only be considered confirmed once I have responded in writing.
3.1.3. If an alteration has been accepted, an additional non refundable deposit may be requested.
3.2. If you need to change the date of your order, please inform me in writing as soon as possible. Any deposit payment will be transferred to a new date, if, availability allows.
3.3. In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your order completely, please confirm this in writing as soon as possible. Please note all deposits are non refundable.
3.3.1. If you cancel within one week of the collection/delivery date, all monies paid are non refundable. Please note, this does not apply to Wedding orders, please refer to 5.5.
3.4. Should payments not be received by the due date, I may need to proceed with legal action to recover losses and to protect the business.
4. If I cancel or change the booking
4.1. In the unlikely event I am unable to complete the order, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances all efforts will be made to find an alternative cake designer to fulfil your order.
4.2. Where delivery has been agreed and in the event of extreme weather conditions, we will need to discuss safe options and/or cancellation. Should the latter be the case, full refunds will be given.
5.1. Wedding packages are available on a bespoke basis and no two orders are the same.
5.2. Cake stands are available to hire and a damage deposit will be required. This will be refunded once the stand has been returned.
5.2.1. In the event the stand has been damaged whilst in your care the deposit will not be refunded.
5.2.2. Unless otherwise agreed, it is your responsibility to ensure the stand is returned. If this does not occur and I need to collect myself, the deposit will not be refunded.
5.3. All orders must be placed a minimum of 3 months prior to allow enough time for the design and tasting.
5.4. As each cake is different I am unable to confirm the final price until we have discussed your final design in detail. This is usually following your tasting. Any price I provide before this will be estimated and subject to change.
5.4.1. In order to confirm your date a £100 non refundable deposit is required, this will be deducted from the final balance. Once we have finalised your chosen design after a consultation/tasting session, I will then confirm the final cost to you in writing.
5.4.2. The remaining agreed balance is then due 14 days prior to the wedding day.
5.4.3. Delivery will be included in your overall cost. Please confirm the venue upon enquiry.
5.4.4. If you would like to proceed with your tasting session prior to confirming the booking, this will be charged at £35 per couple. This will go against your final balance if the booking is confirmed.
5.5. In the unfortunate event that YOU need to cancel your booking, please confirm this in writing as soon as possible. Please note all deposits are non refundable.
5.5.1. Cancellations made up to three months prior to the booking date will incur a 50% cancellation charge.
5.5.2. If you need to change the date of your booking, please inform me in writing as soon as possible and with at least two weeks notice. Providing the new date is available, your deposit payment and any other funds received will be transferred to this new date which will be confirmed to you in writing. If I do not have availability on your new date and the booking needs to be cancelled, please refer to clause 5.5.1.
6.1. Unless requested otherwise, all orders include, eggs, milk and cereals containing gluten.
6.2. Please state on your initial enquiry request if you require vegan, dairy or gluten free cakes.
6.3. Please be aware that nuts, gluten and dairy are handled in the kitchen and so although orders can be made "free-from", there may still be traces.
7. Photography disclaimer
7.1. All cakes will be photographed and used for portfolio purposes on social media. If you would prefer I did not use your order in this way please let me know in advance.
7.2. If a photograph of my work is posted on social media by yourself or your other suppliers, please kindly make reference to myself.
